Terrell Ellis & Associates
Terrell Ellis has been actively involved in development issues in West Virginia for nearly twenty years. Ms. Ellis successfully lead the development effort of Charleston Renaissance Corporation during its initial planning and implementation phases and continued to focus her efforts on community revitalization during her subsequent years as a director of community economic development programs at the West Virginia Development Office. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Affairs. Ms. Ellis has also received the designation of Certified Economic Development Finance Professional. Over the past ten years, Ms. Ellis has successfully managed her consulting firm with an emphasis on providing communities with practical development strategies resulting in tangible results.
Tricia Kingery is a nationally experienced consultant in developing communications between communities and organizations. She is particularly passionate about helping non-profits and growing economic development opportunities for her fellow West Virginians.
Prior to forming her company Kingery & Company, LLC she was a senior program manager for Terrell Ellis and Associates and served as Senior Consultant for a national public affairs firm with more than 100 clients in 30 states. Her primary responsibilities included facilitation of community groups and public relations consultation. She also worked as a Senior Account Executive for West Virginia's largest advertising and public relations agency where she managed major accounts in the manufacturing, utility, healthcare and tourism industries.
Her early work in the behavioral healthcare arena provides a strong foundation of diverse experience in group dynamics, crisis communications, community relations and business development. She held key positions at hospitals and behavioral healthcare centers including Director of Child and Family Behavioral Health Services and Marketing and Public Relations Director. She spent several years in the non-profit healthcare sector.
Becky King
Becky King has over 25 years experience in the areas of nonprofit management, government relations, and community development initiatives in WV. In addition to having served as an executive director of a nonprofit, Becky has provided technical assistance in the areas of strategic planning, board development, community problem solving, advocacy skill building, and group facilitation.
Eileen Barker has eleven years of experience as a private consultant specializing in organizational and community development as well as project management for public and private entities. She previously worked for 21 years in the administration of education and human service programs.
Eileen has worked with many organizations and communities across West Virginia and in other states to provide a wide range of training and facilitation services. She has consulted primarily in the areas of planning, feasibility assessment, board development, service integration, team-building and development of collaborative partnerships, volunteer management, public forums, focus groups, survey design and group facilitation. She holds a Master’s degree in management.
Collective Impact, LLC
Bruce Decker is the founding principal partner of Collective Impact, LLC. He serves on the board of the Community Collaborative, Inc. and has varied experience in organizational and community development, system improvement, service integration, and capacity building throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He has experience teaching in secondary and higher education settings, has provided direct services to individuals with autism, mental retardation, developmental disabilities, and mental illness in community based settings. He provides leadership and management training, technical assistance, consultation and strategic planning for a variety of organizations and initiatives.
Marian Keyes
Marian Keyes founded and served for seven years as the Executive Director of a community advocacy organization addressing equity issues in public education. A former English teacher she has taught high school and college courses, been a board of education member, administrator, technical assistance provider to schools, researcher, and trainer of teachers. An author of It Takes a School:Closing Achievement Gaps Through Culturally Responsive Schools (2006), she has worked extensively with community groups and schools wishing to improve education for low income and minority students. She currently trains nonprofits and community based organizations utilizing Leadership Plenty curriculums.
Stone Strategies, LLC
Leslie S. Stone is the founder, owner and operator of Stone Strategies. Stone Strategies offers services including facilitation, planning, evaluation and training. Current clients are working in areas such as; economic development, community development, early childhood, mental health, faith-based family support, entrepreneurship, child abuse and neglect prevention, and state and city government. For 12 years, she worked with West Virginia’s Governor’s Cabinet on Children and Families partnering with local communities and state-level, cross-agency efforts providing meeting facilitation, assistance with problem-solving and planning, community leadership development, involving parents, service providers and local community members in decision-making. Leslie’s other work has included; elementary teaching in gifted, teaching grades K-12 behavior disorders, parent support, training, community development, graduate level teaching, curriculum development, behavioral interventions, program management, and resource development and linkage. Leslie has a background in Elementary and Special Education with specializations in mathematics education and research, kindergarten, gifted education and behavior disorders along with certifications in basic and community mediation.
Kathleen has earned the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive, the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.
Kathleen serves on the Boards of Directors of the Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center, West Virginia Independent Colleges and Universities and Leadership West Virginia.
